We have converted the way of analogue into digital and we finally reached the way of 3D (three-dimensional). The 3D developed at this time addresses an object in front of elevator doors and makes open doors, compared with the 2D sensor used in common which only can recognize when an object is in between car doors. You don’t need to push a button intentionally and quickly to open elevator doors while getting in or out of an elevator safely anymore. This 3D sensor guarantees the safety of vast passengers in any emergencies situations compared with a 2D sensor.
The 2D sensor which is used in common can recognize only when an object is in between car doors,
and then it makes doors open automatically. For this reason, people could get hurt and feel uncomfortable with bumping into whole hall doors or car doors edge when they stand right in front of an elevator rushing into doors to get in. Hence it has a quite restricted detection function rather than 3D can detect an object surrounding elevator doors.
