In industrial worksites in the United States and Europe, the elements known as the “ABCs of Fall Protection” are considered the most fundamental factors when evaluating fall safety.

A. Anchorage
An anchorage is a safe and secure fixed point. It is a place where workers can attach their safety equipment while working or moving at height, and it must be strong enough to withstand the impact of a fall.
B. Full-Body Harness
A full-body harness helps distribute the impact force applied to the body in the event of a fall and provides a D-ring to connect the connector ⓒ.
C. Connecting Device
A connecting device links the full-body harness ⓑ worn by the worker to the anchorage point ⓐ. Typical examples include lanyards or SRL.
